MASQUERADE REBRAND
Branding | Type Exploration | Illustration
The Masquerade is a music venue in downtown Atlanta, GA known for its grungy aesthetic and ushering in lesser known artists to mid level notoriety artists. While physically being underground, the current venue branding does not accurately represent the feeling of being in an “underground” setting. The end goal for this rebrand was to create a completely new look and feel for The Masquerade. The venue has everything it needs going for them except the look and aesthetics of their branding, advertisements, and directions. The aesthetics need to be heightened to a new degree to expand towards many audiences.

Outcome
After many grueling hours of research and finding the right specific context to brand towards, I came up with what is seen. There is a perfect level of playfulness while keeping with the origins of the grungy, dingy, and underground feeling of the Masquerade spirit. Now there are logos for each of the three rooms to accompany the main logo. Everything is done in a sketchy illustrative style to, once again, call back to its roots.
